Plate-type Teflon heater manufacturer: Heater functions
The function of a heater is to draw steam that has already done some work in the turbine into the heater, where it heats the feedwater, raising its temperature. This reduces the amount of steam discharged from the turbine to the condenser, thereby minimizing cold-source losses and improving the thermal efficiency of the power plant’s cycle. Currently, most combined heat and power (CHP) enterprises in China adopt backpressure turbines for heat supply—specifically, they convert original coal-fired generating units into backpressure steam turbines or gas turbines as heat sources and achieve heat-supply functionality through technological upgrades. In backpressure heating units, steam that has already done work in the turbine is used to heat the feedwater. This approach helps reduce the boiler’s thermal load, facilitates more rational adjustment of boiler combustion, and enhances the economic benefits of the thermal power plant.
In thermal power plants, a significant portion of the thermal energy obtained from fuel is carried away by the circulating water in the condenser. This type of heat loss is known as cold-source loss. According to manufacturers of plate-type Teflon heaters, most power plants in China currently operate under low-vacuum conditions. If the steam that has already done work inside the turbine is extracted and used to heat the boiler feedwater instead of being sent to the condenser, this steam will continue to do work within the turbine without any cold-source loss, thereby improving the thermal efficiency of the power plant. Furthermore, when high-pressure steam extracted from the turbine’s exhaust port is fed into the boiler, the increase in steam pressure and the corresponding drop in temperature cause the steam to mix with air, reaching a certain level of humidity. This helps reduce scale formation on thermal equipment. Therefore, the function of high- and low-pressure heaters is to use steam extracted from the turbine to supply heat to the boiler feedwater, thus enhancing the overall thermal efficiency of the generating unit.
Plate-type Teflon heater manufacturer: There are mainly 6 types of electric heaters.
I. Heat Treatment: Perform partial or full quenching, annealing, tempering, and through-hardening treatments on a variety of metals.
II. Hot Forming: Full-forging, Partial-forging, Hot upsetting, Hot rolling
3. Welding: Brazing of various metal products, welding of blades for all types of knives and saw blades, welding of saw teeth, welding of steel pipes and copper pipes, and welding of similar but dissimilar metals.
4. Metal Melting: Conducting (vacuum) smelting, casting, and vapor deposition coating on metals such as gold, silver, copper, iron, and aluminum.
V. Other applications of high-frequency heating machines: semiconductor single-crystal growth, thermal fitting, hot sealing of bottle mouths, heat sealing of toothpaste tubes, powder coating, and metal implantation into plastics.
Six, heaters are currently one of the more popular electric heating devices in society. They not only boast high quality and long service life but are specifically designed for use with flowing liquids.
The above is an introduction to the functions of plate-type Teflon heaters provided by our manufacturer. During use, it’s crucial to follow proper operating procedures to avoid any adverse effects caused by improper handling. If you have any other related questions, feel free to consult us at any time.
