The tubular electric heating element for air heating is constructed by encasing a spiral-shaped resistance alloy wire (made of nickel or iron–chromium alloy) in a metal tube, with the space between the wire and the tube filled and compacted with crystalline magnesium oxide powder that offers excellent insulation and thermal conductivity. The ends of the tube are sealed with silicone rubber, followed by additional processing steps to produce the final heating element. This metal-sheathed electric heating element is suitable for heating air and metal molds, and it features a simple structure, high mechanical strength, high thermal efficiency, safety and reliability, easy installation, and long service life. It is widely used in various applications, including furnaces for melting easily soluble metals, air-heating furnaces, drying ovens, and hot-press molds. Its applications span numerous industrial sectors, such as aerospace, shipbuilding, petroleum, chemical engineering, laundry, synthetic fibers, machinery manufacturing, automotive, electrical machinery, radio, instrumentation, plastics, textiles, food processing, printing and packaging, rubber, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, and household appliances.
