Teflon is polytetrafluoroethylene, known in English as Polytetrafluoroethylene and abbreviated as Teflon, PTFE, or F4, among others. Due to pronunciation, it is also commonly referred to as fluoron, tiefulong, tefulon, and teflun—all transliterations of “Teflon.” A newly developed type of highly corrosion-resistant electric heater is manufactured for use in various corrosive heating applications. It boasts excellent anti-aging properties and good flexibility, and is designed with a low surface load. The heater consists of a stainless steel or titanium heating element encased in a fluoroplastic sleeve, with power density ideally kept below 1.5 W/cm² and never exceeding 2 W/cm².
Teflon heaters are the optimal choice for heating, condensing, evaporating, and concentrating corrosive liquids in processes such as electroplating, electrolysis, degreasing, acid pickling, chemical nickel and phosphorus plating, hydrofluoric acid treatment, anodizing, aluminum foil production, metallurgy, chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, and food processing!
