Today, Teflon heat exchangers also exhibit outstanding resistance to aging. Because Teflon does not contain photosensitive groups, it possesses exceptional resistance to atmospheric aging. In highly corrosive media, their service life is 20 to 30 times longer than that of stainless steel. Moreover, they boast excellent heat-transfer performance. Thanks to the use of thin-walled tubes—whose wall thicknesses are only 0.5 mm, 0.75 mm, and 1 mm—these heat exchangers overcome the low thermal conductivity inherent in PTFE materials, enabling them to achieve a total heat-transfer coefficient ranging from 150 to 300 W/m²·K. Currently, Teflon heat exchangers also demonstrate remarkable resistance to both corrosion and aging. Their superior temperature resistance makes them suitable for both steam heating and hot-water heating applications. These heat exchangers can now be used for heat exchange involving three types of gases: exhaust gas, air, and coal gas. The internal structure consists of a corrugated plate made by pressing a stainless steel sheet into a specific shape and then welding it together.
